Pigmentation of the hair, skin, cuticle, feather and eye is one of the
most salient and variable attributes of vertebrates. In many species,
melanin-based coloration is found to be pleiotropically linked to
behavior. We review animal studies that have found darker pigmented
individuals average higher amounts of aggression and sexual activity than
lighter pigmented individuals. We hypothesize that similar relationships
between pigmentation, aggression, and sexuality occur in humans. We first
review the literature on non-human animals and then review some of the
correlates of melanin in people, including aggression and sexual

populations (e.g., races, nations, states), studies find that darker
pigmented people average higher levels of aggression and sexual activity
(and also lower IQ). We conceptualize skin color as a multigenerational

origins. We propose life history theory to explain the covariation found

Your article on legal aid is absolute rubbish. It is open to abuse by lawyers who take great pleasure in writing unecessary letters knowing the state will pay. The only fair way if you keep legal aid is to give it to both parties. How many middle class dads do you know who can fight a contact case and spend the same as their ex wife -£150,000 was my ex’s bill.
What experience have you had?

So, to the enemies of dissent (viz. Government, the rich and Muslims), we can now add the Hard Left. As if this were something new. My father told me of a trick used by the Left back in the 1920s. They would bring a blind man to conservative meetings. At a suitable moment he would stand IP and start shouting. Attempts to remove him would be met with cries of “Not the blind man” from his co-conspirators.

In a smaller way, the BBC does a similar thing, such as inviting The Hated Nick Griffin on to Question Time solely to have everyone else verbally pillory him. Orwell would have well understood that tactic – indeed he pretty much described in in Hate Week.

Dear Nick – Am to understand you quite well? I quite feel that the bemoaning of the family based heirarchy in Britain is advocating too much equality. You have me thinking I’m the only left-winger who concludes that equality and merit can be quite frustrating. Especially when the rich have put so thought energy into remaining rich with as little effort as possible. If you are agreeing with my mindset on the current issues with the politico-economic structure of our nation, do you mind being rather a bit more demonstrative and forthright so as to not come across as an asian tiger pin.

Anything that makes Freemasonry more open and accountable should be welcomed. Quite a considerable way to go yet though but this report does represent a step in the right direction. I have been a Freemason for 4 years or so. Personally speaking, after over a decade as a local politician I am quite used to declaring interests. When I joined, my membership naturally became a matter of public record. I have no problem with people being aware that I am a Freemason. However, I can understand that for many Freemasons, their Freemasonry is intensely private and personal to them. After all said and done, Freemasonry is really about a personal journey of self discovery, strengthening ones morals, ethics, faith in god and in the capacity of humanity to do good.

Reconciling the public perception of Freemasonry with the reality of Freemasonry will take time. You can’t undo hundreds of years a blinkered thinking over night.
