I was on the BBC’s Daily Politics earlier today with George Parker of the FT. I was overcome by the surrealism of our current condition, when after a long discussion of the banking shambles, we turned to an EU plan to make hill farmers tag sheep.
“You mean we can’t regulate the banks but we can regulate the sheep,” I said to the presenter.
